Black Neon Tetra Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi

As their name implies, black neon tetras have a stripe of black that runs the length of their bodies, overlaid by an iridescent stripe of yellow-green. Black neon tetras will thrive in groups of six or more in a planted aquarium with slightly acidic water to replicate their native habitat of the Amazon river basin. Peaceful and hardy, these fish will thrive with non-aggressive tankmates and plenty of hiding places.
