Care/feeding notes: This interesting little tetra is a great resident for a nano tank. They are a fairly tightly schooling fish and stay in the lower half of the water column. In the wild they are one of the characin species purported to school with Corydoras hastatus, and their size and caudal pattern do mimic this Cory. Males grow a long flowing dorsal and pectoral fins that often reach back beyond the tail and both sexes get a slight deep golden color above the lateral line when mature. They are easy to care for on a diet of newly hatched brine shrimp, microworms, Grindal worms, finely ground flakes, micro pellets and frozen foods like cyclopeeze, daphnia, and similar sized foods.
