Description

You are bidding on a group of 5, unsexed, tank raised, standard/typical colored Hypancistrus sp. L236 ~ these are what many are calling Hypancistrus sp. L236 Glaser. You can see their size in the photo which is of the actual fish you are bidding on. While taking the photos of them, the flash brings out a yellow color in some of them, this yellow is not seen when they are in the tank. All are showing the typical color for the specie, none are covered with extreme white (super white) as you may have seen in some publications or online,,,but thru very selective breeding you may end up with some super whites someday! These fish can be quite variable in color and markings. And NoI do not have any super whites for sale at this time!

I picked up my breeders as young adults while attending the Aqua Ark Convention in Norway in 2009; they came from breeder Haakon Haagensen in Bergen, Norway. Check out Haakons article, Chaos in black and white, on page 56 of the May/June 2014 issue of AMAZONAS Magazine or see it here: https://www.reef2rainforest.com/2014/04/05/chaos-in-black-white/?fbclid=IwAR2N_h6XuBjB_SpuK0jdAqBJ4busTnBx8fEJHKfXYOkGmvRpLwboP5AkpoM This will help explain the situation with trying to ID these fish. Okay, I know that everyone that reads this is going to have an opinion on what these fish arenot be rude or ignorant to anyone, but I dont want to engage in any arguments about them. Why you may ask: it could go on FOREVER and there is no definite answer; if you are a serious Pleco fan you already know this!! I simply dont have forever to spend on an endless debate! I spend my days tending to my fish, not sitting in front of a computer typing! I am personal friends with some of the top catfish hobbyists in Germany and they say there is no reason not to call these fish L236 as I received them as....that's good enough for me. I can send you a copy of an article I wrote on the complete story of my fish and my breeding success with them, along with more photos of them, just send me your email address at coryjeb@comcast.net and Ill email you a copy. Then you can determine if you want them or not. I have already sold a good many of my L236 to hobbyists here in the USA and have not had any complaints about them yetin fact, many of them even ordered more!

Remember these are tank raised fish, being naturally spawned and raised in aquariums in our own hatchery, NOT stressed out, emaciated imported fish that just arrived in the USA and are ready to die! In addition, these are NOT pond raised or farm raised using artificial methods either, as some others sellers call tank raised!! - - - We like to say our fish are ... Proudly Pennsylvania Produced

Only method of shipping offered is USPS Express Shipping for $50, Serious bidders, BEFORE YOU BID, Email me your shipping zip code for delivery times as some USPS Express is a 2 day delivery.

High temperatures may delay shipping of fish

Live delivery will be guaranteed, as long as someone is present to receive & sign for shipment on the first delivery attempt. (Please make sure fish are unpacked & tended to upon arrival, as any DOA must be report to me within an hour of package acceptance. Photos of DOA in original, unopened bag required.). If using the hold for pick up option or a PO Box, packages must be picked up within 2 hours once available at your post office.

Live delivery is guaranteed to you, but I DO NOT GUARANTEE THE DELIVERY TIME! This means I guarantee you get live, healthy fish, if they arrive an hour late or day late, but alive and in good condition, you do not get any money back for the late delivery.

I do not use USPS Priority Mail (and please don't ask me to, saying you will take the risk!) because they are so unpredictable and unreliable. I have already had packages in the past take up to two weeks to get delivered; I will not to take a gamble with living things!!! Let us avoid any problems, headaches, arguments and hard feelings just to try and save a few dollars!!

Again, email me at coryjeb@comcast.net BEFORE YOU BID if you have ANY questions about the shipping or ANY other possible questions. Payment must be sent within 5 days of auction end, PLEASE! PayPal or United States Postal Service Money Orders accepted only. There will be a 3% additional cost added to the final total once shipping is calculated in, this is to help cover some of the banking, service and handling fees that I get hit with! THANKS FOR LOOKING AND MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT ALL MY OTHER AUCTIONS, COMBINE WINNING AUCTIONS TO SAVE ON SHIPPING COST! Check out my feedback...it says it all about my fish & items and the way I do business!
