Description

You are bidding on a single Squaliforma cf. emarginata 'Las Piedras' also known as L011, L108, L116, L131 or a common name of Red Fin Thresher Pleco. Young & unsexed, sized at about 2" TL. They are wild fish collected my myself and a group of friends about a month ago in the Las Piedras river, a tributary of the Madre de Dios River in Peru. They were legally imported into the USA thru Go Wild Peru. My photo shows random fish of some of the wild caught fish we caught and will give you an idea of what you are getting. The top photos shows the size of the auction fish, bottom photo shows a little larger one. These guys can reach 18" or better in total length, and again, the fish up for auction is 2". They are not often seen in the USA. Winner of the auction will have a chance to buy extras at the same winning bid price per fish. Numbers are very limited.

Remember these are tank raised fish, being naturally spawned and raised in aquariums in our own hatchery, NOT stressed out, emaciated imported fish (which are often misidentified) that just arrived in the USA and are ready to die! These are NOT pond raised or farm raised using artificial methods either, as some others call tank raised!! We like to say... Proudly Pennsylvania Produced,

Only method of shipping offered is USPS Express Shipping for $50 and it will probably be best to use the hold for pick up (at post office) option if temps in your area are high . By using the hold for pick up option it will help protect the shipment from a day of exposure to weather conditions as it rides around in a mail truck for hours prior to delivery to your home. ALSO, this method can sometimes speed up the delivery times on scheduled 2 day deliveries to late next day. Serious bidders, BEFORE YOU BID, Email me your shipping zip code for delivery times as some USPS Express is a 2 day delivery.

Live delivery will be guaranteed, as long as someone is present to receive & sign for shipment on the first delivery attempt. If using the hold for pick up service or a PO Box, packages must be picked up within 4 hours once available at your post office.

Live delivery is guaranteed to you, but I DO NOT GUARANTEE THE DELIVERY TIME! This means I guarantee you get live, healthy fish, if they arrive an hour late or day late, but alive and in good condition, you do not get any money back for the late delivery.

I don't use USPS Priority Mail (and please don't ask me to, saying you will take the risk!) because they are so unpredictable and unreliable. I have already had packages in the past take up to two weeks to get delivered; I will not to take a gamble with living things!!! Let us avoid any problems, headaches, arguments and hard feelings just to try and save a few dollars!!

Again, email me at sales@alloddballaquatics.com BEFORE YOU BID if you have ANY questions about the shipping or ANY other possible questions. Payment must be sent within 5 days of auction end, PLEASE! PayPal or United States Postal Service Money Orders accepted only. There will be a 3% additional cost added to the final total once shipping is calculated in, this is to help cover some of the banking, service and handling fees that I get hit with! THANKS FOR LOOKING AND MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT ALL MY OTHER AUCTIONS, COMBINE WINNING AUCTIONS TO SAVE ON SHIPPING COST! Check out my feedback...it says it all about my fish & items and the way I do business!

Added by the Seller on Mon May 28 07:40:32 2018:

After more research I'm leaning towards the thought that these fish are actually Aphanotorulus unicolor, which only grow to 6-7" TL. Sorry for any confusion!
