Hello folks! Happy July!! This offering is for the last of the L-029 Galaxy Pleco's from my fish room. The fish you are looking at is about 5 inches long. These are also called Vampire Plecos. These catfish are meat eaters. I am offering it as "unsexed" but I think it's a Male. This one shares and squabbles over a cave with a 5" Male Texas Cichlid and Male Plecos usually will fight for a cave if need be. A few weeks ago I had 3 L-029's in this tank and this one was the one to find and take up residence in this cave first and it's been sharing it with the Texas Cichlid ever since. I have been feeding it mostly Frozen Brine Shrimp, Frozen Bloodworms, Kensfish Earthworm Sticks and Hikari Algae Wafers and it eats all this stuff aggressively. It's in perfect condition, has a nice full belly and is doing GREAT. This species will grow to just about 10 inches long and they are a class act in any larger community tank. They HAVE been bred in captivity but not nearly as often as many of the smaller Hypancistrus species a lot of folks work with.
