[zipedit] Tank Raised L279 Huacamayo Dwarf Ancistrus Rarely Offered

This Auction is for 6 tank raised L279. These guys are 1+ in size. Though no show stopper for looks, having a coloration similar to the common Ancistrus cf Cirrhosus its tiny 2.5 body and friendly personality will quickly get your attention. I currently have them breeding in a setup with my Hypancistrus L199. These guys are slightly smaller and far more active. The eggs are very small as are the fry in comparison to other Ancistrus species. They also seem to grow at a pace more typical of a Hypancistrus during early development. Breeding behavior is typical of Ancistrus species, utilizing a small cave and trapping the female. I should note, this is the first species Ive worked with that has repeatedly guarded eggs while facing out.
Like all my fish these were hatched born and raised in Great Lakes tap water with a PH of 7.4 and a TDS around 160. That means these fish should easily adapt to your water. .Picture is of an adult Male 2 years old, 1 airstone used to show size
All Plants are grown in my Fish room under Medium low lighting <3WPG with no addition of CO2 and rare dosing of the Seachem fertilizer line and Root Tabs.
NOTE: Some plant and fish species are restricted by state and local governments, it is the buyers responsibility to know their local laws.
My fish are fed a variety of foods, the bulk of their diet consists of Golden Pearls and the various sticks available from Kens Fish, Lohachata's PLECOCAIN Capitan Bob's Sink or Swim Foods. Most of my fry are started on Micro, Walter, and Banana worms. If you are still buying generic flake from your local fish store I highly recommend you save some cash, give your fish more nutrition and support some fellow hobbyists.
SHIPPING IS INCLUDED IN THE Buy it now price but will otherwise be $35 Express Mail. NOTE SHIPPING WILL BE AT MY DISCRETION BASED ON TEMPERATURES IN YOUR AREA AND MINE. Please see my JUST ME Page for additional shipping details.
