Description

I have been raising these gorgeous plecos for several years now and have never been disappointed with them. They are hands down the best algae eaters you can purchase for your aquarium. And as a bonus, they don't destroy your plants! I use them in all my guppy breeding tanks. Not only are the great algae eaters, but they are also easy to breed. Give them a small cave or secluded area in your aquarium and they WILL breed. The female lays the eggs and the male guards them for about 3 weeks, until the young are about a half inch in size. They take excellent care of the young and several generations can be raised in the same tank as long as there are enough hiding spaces as the males become territorial when they get older. Maximum size when they are mature is 5 inches, which again makes them ideal for smaller tanks.

They have a nice marbled pattern of chocolate and albino type coloring. Alway a talking point with any visitors who see them in any of my aquariums.

The young you are bidding on will be approximately six weeks old and are a prime size for shipping. I will ship 6 healthy young to ensure you get a good ratio of males to females. The pictures below are a male breeder and a sample of what the young look like.

Shipping is included in the auction! (Priority Mail 2-3 day delivery) I only ship on Mondays and Tuesdays to ensure the safe arrival of my fish. If you live in an area where the temp is still cold, let me know and I will send a free heat pack with the fish.
