Description

You are bidding on four long finned L-144 plecos. These fish are also known as Ancistrus species 4 and are relatively rare in the aquarium trade. The first L-144 pleco was said to be a male obtained from Paraguay and was paired with a normally colored female. He was later bred back with the daughter fish to fix the coloration hence they are not albinos but are amelanistic (an absence of dark colored pigments) which is why they are yellow in color with dark eyes. They are smaller than your normal albino bristlenose plecos and they are not albinos! The L-144 (or Ancistrus species 4 as they have been renamed recently) plecos are the smallest of the bristlenose pleco group, growing to no more than 4-5 inches in total length. These plecos will not eat your plants so you can have plecos in a nice planted tank! They do require wood to chomp on and digest and do like freshly boiled veggies such as carrots, zucchini, broccoli or deshelled frozen peas and canned green beans. The L-144�s prefer less meats in their diets as some other plecos and prefer a varied vegetable diet in addition to the more normal foods such as pleco wafers. Shipping Information: Shipping is USPS Priority mail (2-3 day delivery) and is $15 with overnight service available at an additional cost and is usually around $25 (in total) but this amount will vary with your location. I ship these out on Mondays and Tuesdays in well insulated boxes. Payment Information: I accept PayPal (non-credit card) and US Postal Money orders only. My Guarantee to You: I do guarantee my fish so if any arrive dead just let me know with a photo or video of the fish inside the bag that it was shipped in. I will either ship out another fish or provide you with a refund for the cost of the fish. I cannot refund shipping charges and do not guarantee the fish if the cause of the dead fish lies with U.S. Post Office service. I cannot control what happens when they leave my hands and are under control of the US Post Office during shipping.
