3 Live Kuhli Loaches (also spelled Coolie Loach) - 2-3" long!
Larger or smaller quantities available on request! Just visit our website, www.aquaticarts.com, or contact us at [emailprotected]
If you are as fascinated by eels as we are, but are limited on space in your aquarium, than this is the fish for you! This beautiful loach could easily be mistaken for an eel due to its long, slender body and translucent fins, yet it will never grow too large for a home aquarium. They come from tropical climates, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Java and surrounding areas. The Kuhli Loach is a truly elegant swimmer, its movement resembling a snake's slithering dance. These fish have gorgeous coloration - they are mostly a deep burgundy with bright gold bands encircling the body.
These are nocturnal creatures and they like to hide when the lights are on, so plant or rock cover is important. They also prefer sand substrate, as it's easy for them to burrow in it. They are scavengers and will eat food and waste that sinks to the bottom of the aquarium.
RECOMMENDED TANK PARAMETERS:
- PH level range: 6.0 to 7.0
- Temperature range: 75 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit
- Water type: Medium-soft to medium
- Recommended Aquatic Arts tank mates: Other peaceful fish (such as Danios, hillstream loaches etc.), snails (such as Mystery snails, Sulawesi snails, Nerite snails, etc.), dwarf shrimp (such as Sakura Red Cherry shrimp, Bee shrimp, etc.)
- Additional notes: Kuhli Loaches are scavengers, so they will eat leftover fish food, but they will also go for freeze-dried bloodworms and tubifex, as well as frozen and live foods. They prefer to live in tanks with live aquatic plants for cover (such as java moss, baby tears, green cabomba, etc.).PAYMENT INFORMATION
