Description

This auction is for 6 Caudimaculatus (Tail Spot) Cory of various ages. The fish have hatched in their wild parents tank a few at a time over the past 10 months, so there are some almost full grown and some a month or two old. They are a very gregarious little Cory, often waiting for me at the window waiting for their food. They will grow to between 40-50 mm (1.75"-2") and thrive in a PH of 6.0-7.0, a temp between 20-26 C, (higher 60s to higher 70s) and a GH of 36-179 PPM. These Cory are found nearer the end of the Amazon River in the Rio Guapore' back waters in Central Brazil near Bolivia. I ship using UPS and guarantee live delivery if the Cory are accepted at first attempt to deliver. If DOA, send me a picture within the first 2 hours with a tooth pick through the fish and I'll return your purchase price for each fish that didn't make it. I may have one or two replacements, but don't know for sure, so I can not promise that instead of a return of you money paid for each DOA fish. Ground to the East of the Mississippi in generally under $25 while to the West of the Mighty River costing $40 or less. Next Day is available for about $50 or less to the East of the river, $70 or less to the West of it. Overnight generally starts around $100 if you're close to SW Lower Michigan, and increases dramatically as you more further away. Fed Ex does not ship live animals or fish from my area, and USPS has lost many of my shipments since beginning their new mechanical sorting of parcels, sometimes even sending them back to me. I don't mind them coming back as the fish were still alive. It's losing them for 2 or 3 weeks on the other side of the country than where they were supposed to be delivered that upsets me. And, if you don't have every last tiny piece of the fish, the bags, the rubber bands, the box, the Stryofoam, the packing materials, the heat packs when needed, the original label, paying them for insurance on the package is just another way for them to steal more from you. I will ship your order using USPS, but without a single second thought of guaranteeing you'll receive live fish. I am a small time, small fish room Cory breeder with very few other species of fish in my room. I try to breed the unusual, harder to find, Corydoras. I generally offer lower starting prices than the Wholesalers or Importers because there are so many Cory to work with, and I can only hold 24 at one time. So I need to keep my tanks turning over as I finally manage to get a strain to spawn. While they all are Cory, each have their own particular set of circumstances before you can coax them to spawn. Once you buy one strain, you're hooked, and hope to try your hand with the hundreds of identified strains as you can before you close down your fish room for the last time. They are addicting. If this auction isn't for you, enjoy your browsing of the other auctions listed as there simply isn't a bad Cory or Aspidoras you can add to your tank. You'll never find a strain you don't love once you have them.
Added by the Seller on Sun Apr 12 09:49:03 2015:

This particular strain is almost never offered on AquaBid as they are one of the lesser imported strains, making them a hard to find strain in our hobby. Whoever wins this auction will own a unique Cory in our hobby, as well as one that is more rare. Since these are tank spawned and raised from Wild stock, taking 3 years or more to acclimate them well enough to get them to spawn will not be an issue. Either way, good hunting.
