Last Offering Until Spring. A Group of 5 Mature Adult F1 Specimens.

To celebrate the last AB Music Night Show, I am offering this very special auction.
This will be the only auction for this species until spring of next year.
In October, Hans-Georg Evers and Ian Fuller, two of the world�s most preeminent Cory authorities and breeders will be arriving on our shores to speak at the catfish convention. Although I sent Ian and Hans home with young CW016�s, two years ago, it seems most of them have been lost. I have sent others to Norway, where they are thriving, but no signs of any spawning behavior. It is imperative that these fish be bred in captivity, by someone other than myself, so that we may preserve this species, lower the price and spread these fish to serious Cory enthusiasts, around the world.

Why so expensive? Well, when I purchased the first C. weitzmani imported into the US I paid roughly $100 per fish, landed. By becoming the first person in the US to spawn them repeatedly, I was able to get them in the hands of other breeders and they can now be purchased anywhere for $10. Almost every person selling C. weitzmani, obtained their original breeders from me. Ask them. The honest ones will tell you that it�s true.

Having been blessed with one large and 9 small spawns of CW016 over the past four years, I have attempted to put them in people�s hands at a very nominal sum. I have already listed juvies starting at $1. While most of those auctions closed at around $50 per fish, a couple went for as little as $20 per fish, which is what we call in the fish-selling world, �bloody highway robbery.� You snooze - you lose. Smart, alert bidders always get the best deals.

Now, since most people would never consider paying $10 - for any Cory - let alone $100, there is no way that I can list an F1, adult spawning group, starting at $1, because I�ll get killed. Being F1�s, these should be significantly easier to spawn, successfully. The question now becomes, who wants to be the second person in the world to spawn this species? You? Well, here�s your chance.

The juvies that are remaining will be going home, again, with Hans and Ian. I�m due for another spawn in September or October, so I don�t mind depleting my stock. That being said, if you want to purchase an F1 group of fully mature CW016�s - now is the time to act as I will not being selling any of this species until the spring and that�s a long way off - and the truth, unless something of a life-changing nature takes place. It could happen. The lure of a return to life Key West grows stronger everyday. lol.
