The 18$ shipping rate is for USPS Priority mail service, and includes all the shipping materials to keep your fish safe and healthy during their travel. If you would like to upgrade the shipping to Overnight Shipping, just let us know! We currently ship on Monday�s to avoid the fish being held and causing additional stress. This also allows all payments to be processed and for us to prep the fish for shipping by adjusting diet. Refunds: Please note that you are purchasing a live animal and we will only refund or replace fish that are DOA. If you received a fish DOA, we are very sorry! Please contact us and we will either refund or replace with another fish. Our DOA Policy: *During Winter Months- We will offer priority shipping, however, due to the cold weather DOA only applies if you choose Overnight Shipping. We are confident in our abilities to ship fish during colder months, however, we cannot control the USPS* Please take a picture of the fish in the unopened bag and an additional picture outside the bag within 1 hour of receiving shipment. If you are purchasing a fish during extreme weather, please contact the shipper to hold your fish for pickup as their bodies are sensitive to extreme changes in temperature. We have the right to refuse refunds on DOA if the fish are left in inclement weather. Your fish may be a little pale from shipping. Remember, it�s taking quite a journey to get to you. In 24 hours with some care, your fish will get their colors back. We always send instructions on how to get your fish settled in their new home.
