Description

Betta picta, the Painted Betta These sedate, moderately sized mouthbrooders have been bred in a planted 29 gallon community aquarium. I will send a four large juveniles/young adults, 1.5 - 2 TL. Ill pick two males for sure and what I think are two females. If you dont get a pair when they grow out Ill send a fish. They are fast growing and should be breeding in 2 months (or less). The photo is the great-grandfather or older and he is holding eggs. These fish can be kept and bred in soft or hard water. These were bred in hard water, 5-6 KH, >30 GH (Tulsa tap water). The fish are paternal mouthbrooders and very good parents. Breeding is fairly easy. These fish eat anything but routinely get pellet food (golden pearls and red crumb ala Tim Addis). They are supplemented with baby brine shrimp, walter and grindal worms. These fish will be shipped in a styro box that you can keep. Priority shipping ~$10, FedEx or Expressmail (about $30) will depend on location of buyer. I ship from zip code 74105 and the box will be 3 lbs. Live delivery guaranteed with overnight or express mail services ( but not with Priority mail). Note that the guarantee does not include shipping. Any payment accepted but Paypal preferred. Add a live food culture starter at no additional shipping cost. $2 each for whiteworms, Drosophila hydrei (flightless) or D. melanogaster (wingless). $1 each for vinegar eels, walter worms, banana worms. Culture instructions will be included. Any payment accepted but Paypal preferred. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
