Description

For serious/discriminate breeders only: This auction is for 3 non-related, mature Macrostoma males. I ask that only serious breeders consider this auction because these three fish are proven breeders and genetically diverse. Two (including the one pictured) were bred in the US, and the third was wild caught. All three are proven spawners, and they are 3-3.5 inches long. I live in a rural area, and the local water co-op is unreliable. I lost all my females and a 55gal tank of fry due to a water change recently. These males are all I have left of a superb breeding population of Macs. Rather than buying more females and chancing the water, I'm choosing to sell the boys. All three fish are in perfect condition; they are big, beautiful and willing to live together given enough space. The wild male is about 1 year old, and the other two are close to 2. Macs have been documented to live as long as 10 years. All three have spawned, and two have carried their young to term. The fish pictured below carried two successive spawns at once, and produced (after 6-7 weeks of fasting) 54 fry. You will not find another deal like this; these three males carry enough genetic diversity to improve any line. Shipping is a flat $35 for USPS Express. In the unlikely event of DOA, I require a clear photograph of the fish in its unopened bag within 1 hour of the delivery time noted by the postal service. Again, this auction is for serious enthusiasts only. Email me for more pictures. Good luck! PLEASE NOTE that I have not set a reserve on this auction; a good home is a MUST!
Added by the Seller on Fri Oct 1 13:22:50 2010:

**HI EVERYONE** I wanted to add that I WILL send these guys by priority mail for $15. There will be no guarantee, and I can't really recommend it. But the weather looks to be rather mild down here for the next week or so.
