Description

This auction is for 6 small Rams. The Ram Cichlid or Butterfly Cichlid is a colorful, relatively peace-loving cichlid from South America. Being one of the smaller cichlids, it is also sometimes referred to as the Dwarf Cichlid, and its vibrant colors have earned it the name of Butterfly Cichlid. The Microgeophagus Ramirezi popularly goes by the name of Ram Cichlid. It is also referred to as the Butterfly Cichlid. This fish from Colombia and Venezuela usually grows to a length of 2" but may even be smaller. For this reason, it is also often called the Dwarf Cichlid. These fish have been bred and raised in the Tampa Area of Florida. The water conductivity is around 300-400 uS MicroSiemens and the pH is slightly basic 7.5 Hardness is under 150 parts per million. You will not need to alter your water chemistry. Just provide them with good nitrification � no ammonia or nitrates and warmth Rams love warmth. Minimum 82 degrees better 84-86 Newly hatched is a great food throughout their lives for the fry as well as the adults. They are best kept in groups.
