Description

This auction is for a "harem" (1 male & 3 females) of Orange Flash Apistogramma Cacatuoides. These fish are approximately 5 months old (hatched 11/24/11) and are nearing sexual maturity. The male is about 2 inches in length, while the females are slightly smaller. They are all eating frozen brine shrimp, Cyclops, Spectrum pellets, live Blackworms, and flake food. The fish are from unrelated bloodlines. The father was imported from Holland and was paired with females from our breeding program.

Apistogrammas are harem breeders, meaning that they spawn better with one male and multiple females. The photo on this ad is of the actual male being auctioned. As you can see, he's not quite fully colored up, but the fin extensions on his dorsal fin and tail are starting to develop. The photos of the females included in the photo album may not be the exact females included in the auction, but they are typical of females that will be included in the group.
