This became the rage in the early 1990's and is still very popular. When the Blushing or double stripeless gene was added to the Gold Marble Gene it created quite a beautiful, striking Angelfish. Then lines were established to increase the red color, and paprika was added to food to induce the red factor. I never was a fan of any of this, I have always loved the other extreme. With careful line breeding, an extraordinary lemon color comes about. I think Lemon Koi are the Bomb! I WILL NOT KEEP A PAIR OF ANGELFISH THAT DO NOT RAISE THEIR OWN YOUNG!
