This is a 13 month old pair that has spawned many times in their community tank and in several occasions, successfully raised them to the free swim stage. Apart from this fact, I generally do not collect further fecundity data from spawnings of community tank natural pairs. If you're a purist, don't even go forward with this - you'll be disappointed with your purchase as much as those who end up having a cow when they find out that a Koi lineage's heritable colors are a derivative of metabolized carotenoids (that's why they're called "carotenoid colors") and therefore pigment based. This has an analog in fish whose colors are cultivated iridescence (pB or non-pB type iridescence, mine is the latter). Hence, the barrage of pictures in this WYSIWYG - they illustrates both "ON" and "OFF" color states. My pricing criteria is the same as that which I use in my Kois - they're structured around color depth and color coverage (color hue is only applicable to my Kois). Lastly, the female's oppercular posterior-ridge has a gap that is neither inheritable nor congenital but sustained by way of a health crisis 11 mos ago (that I caught quickly during while still a dime sized individual together w/ its koi tank mates compliments of a manacapuru outcorss individual a buddy loaned me). One plate regenerated and the other regenerated 3/4 of the way. The price reflects this consideration. NOTE: My "green" varietal lineages are independent of pB and therefore unrelated to the progenitor lineages of both Kennedy and Rybicki bloodlines.
