This semi-WYSIWYG (actual stock pictured, scoop of the net selection) grouping These are quarter to half-dollar sized F1'S resulting from a cross of an Ultra-High Color Coverage Koi with a 75% Manacapuru. You get the best of both worlds - my Koi lineage (I used a heterozygous red-orange Koi with 95% ratio of color to white color coverage) PLUS wild-blood in one package. In otherwords - a double outcross. Some of them expresses the reddish crown of a pure manacapuru, which comes as a surprise, it developed later. If you like the body profile of wild-caught scalares, here's a chance to breed it into your kois. Using these facilititates the koi outcross process - lesser amount of generations in order to realize color rebound and of equal significance - the re-introduction of ideal genetic assets via wild blood. Crossing these together, results in boatload of phenotypes: Silvers, Silver Ghosts, Crowned Blushings, Silver Gold Marbles, Silver Gold Marble Ghosts, Blushing Gold Marbles, Heavily marked Goldmables, Heavily marked Goldmarble Ghosts, Heavily Marked Legacy Kois.

But regardless of what you use them for, if best practices embodies your husbandry technique, the result will be impressively shaped angels with just about faultless finnage in the adult body morph. If you're extra-lucky, some of them will be highly reminiscent of a true Altum's body profile.

HOUSE OF ORANGE KOIS

For those unfamiliar with my Kois, they were developed some 12yrs ago using imported non-Koi bloodlines from Asia and Europe. T his means that I developed them independent of existing lineages and to date they remain as 1 of 4 independent Koi lineages in the US. If you�re a Koi enthusiast, you�ll most likely know who t he other 3 are (though one appears to have possibly gone extinct....and it ain't mine either).

If you�re a casual hobbyist, this won�t matter but if you breed angels, this is significant and key to why they're excellent out-cross material. Alternatively, they can be used as foundation stock for a Koi breeding program. It's no wonder why the majority of my Koi customers here and elsewhere are either professional breeders themselves as well as hobbyist-breeders.

Note: Tiger Orange Kois - 3 phases, Vermilion Kois - 4 phases, Sunset Blushings - 2 to 3 (doesn�t have a phase 1 and transitory phases are dependent on whether they came from Tigers or Verms), Vermilion Marble Blushings � 4 (extended color development timeframe compared to any of the above).
