The video clip shows 2 Sunset Blushing phenotypes. This one is for 6 Crowned Sunsets with some body color- coverage under-dime/dime sized fish selected via �scoop of the net..� They�re the ones with lesser orange. I do not keep Sunset lineages but I do try to breed for them whenever I can. This group comes from 3 different pairs all of which are heterozygous Vermilion Koi pairs that throws Sunset Blushing with heritable color coverage. Those that fall under this auction have colors throughout their bodies not just the crown.

There are several uses for Sunset Blushings from Kois. You can use them as the initial resource for a Sunset Blushing lineage, display them in show tanks, lessen black coverage in lineages of Marble Blushings and Kois and build a lineage of Black Velvets, cross them with zebras to beget Silver Clowns. You can also cross them with Kois sporting red-eyes whose offspring will in part, be Sunsets with red eyes. In short Sunsets are a very versatile genotype since you can use them on their own or use them as an intermediate step towards new varieties or in order to improve specific varieties of Angelfish. The kois (yes, they�re Kois not Vermilion Marble Blushings � close but not quite) in the clip are full siblings to most of these individuals. They aren�t part of the auction.

Lastly, though their colors are pretty bold now, their carotenoid colors will darken as they hit sexual maturity. Having been bred from Kois, their colors� upkeep is not any different.
