In February 2010, at The World Angelfish Forum, in a reply to a trademark question I mentioned about royalty

"Given the gene..., I have No intention of trademarking it. This had been discussed already about 3 years ago in another forum.

The start of this Platinum journey was never planned. I actually was not interested in the Platinum... my sister bought some even after i told her not to. I suppose all this was meant to happen; a blessing from God which i can not keep soley for my gain. As God has blessed me with it, I would like others to be blessed by it as well. I'd be very delighted though if someone who will gain much financially from the angels I developed would be so kind to give me royalty, willingly given. Pleeease!

It was just wishful thinking that someone would give me royalty. I jokingly pleaded but I was not expecting. But the unexpected happened. August 4, 2010 in David's email he said "You can start earning some income from your hard work...I'm going to include some kind of royalty for you."

David is not obliged to give me any royalty as he owes me nothing so I am very greatfull for the gesture. Thanks David!

By the way, David was the one who suggested the replacement placeholder gene name Philippine Blue for the blue angelfish mutant phenotype; with genetic code: pb.

I hope those wanting to acquire Pinoy, Paraiba and other angelfish varieties will get them from Angelfish USA. Indirectly, you will be financially supporting my angelfish development/breeding projects. Thanks!
