Hello folks! Happy Spring!! This is a ONE TIME offering for a Reverse Trio of Luciocephalus pulcher. They are about 4 inches long which is breeding size! These were imported as "Pike Head Crocodile Fish". These are rare in the hobby and when we do have a chance to see them at a fish shop they are usually housed in the same area as the more aggressive cichlids and with things like freshwater barracuda's, stingrays and that sort of stuff . In reality these are actually a type of mouth breeding gourami and this is your oppritunity to acquire a Reverse Trio of them! These were wild caught and I bought them a little over a Month ago. 2 things caught my eye when I saw them at the importers. 1. They were in pretty good condition compared to other times I have seen them in the past and 2. I had my flashlight with me and I realized I could sex them! After checking them all out not only was I able to sex them I even found a Male holding some fry in his mouth! You are bidding on a total of 3 fish! You will receive 2 Males along with a Female. The Female IS heavy and I believe she will spawn with one of those Males shortly if you want to attempt to breed them. If not, they sure are a groovy species of Gourami! I have done awesome with these fish over the last few weeks keeping them in my Great Lakes tap water at 82 degrees. I have them in a 20 long with green garland filling 1/2 of the tank. I have been feeding them worms from my backyard, Guppies, Blackworms and Ghost Shrimp and they eat with gusto. I think they would learn to eat frozen bloodworms very quickly but I don't use them in my fish room so I can't say that for sure. The fry from the Male that was holding eggs were fed live baby brine shrimp as soon as they left the Males mouth with gusto. Give these fish a try!
