Description

This auction is for a young pair of the rare & beautiful Macropodus ocellatus, the round tailed paradise fish. The male is about 2" & the female is 1/4 inch smaller. They were born last November in an unheated windowsill aquarium - they're very cold tolerant, great for outdoor tubs & ponds. This species is considerably less aggressive than M. opercularis. They are very healthy, are eating anything & the male is starting to build bubble nests, so they'll breed for you very soon. Pictured is the exact male you'll receive. These are the last ones I'll be offering for a while - they're so gorgeous I can't stand to part with them. Oh, what the hell, I'll throw in an extra female, so you'll be getting a trio instead of a pair. I'm just too nice for my own good! The fish will be shipped in breather bags in a insulated box.
