Description

This auction is for three 1 1/2 - 2" Microctenopoma ansorgii, the Orange Bushfish, a rare & beautiful African anabantoid. Pictured is one of the little ones alongside its father. They are very healthy & are eating anything. They especially love Hikari micro wafers, in addition to all sorts of live & frozen foods. I've found them to be undemanding - all they need is soft, tanin stained water, temps 80-82& they're as happy as clams. This is another species where the young can grow up in the same tank as their parents, as long as there are plenty of floating plants present. I only ended up with three babies this time because there were also 6 adults (& 2 Synodontis nigroventis) in the tank at the time. The larger the tank & with fewer adults around the more fry that will survive to adulthood. I'm fairly certain the ones up for auction are a trio, but they're still young so I'm not absolutely sure. The fish will be shipped in an insulated box with a heat pack. Shipping is $15.00 USPS priority mail or $38.00 express. Pick-ups are welcome. Thanks for looking & good luck!
