Trichopsis pumila, the sparkling gourami, is a one inch bubble nesting anabantoid that enjoys well planted aquariums. Males and females look alike. They will breed in the aquarium if the temperature is in the mid 80's Fahrenheit and the water level is around 6 inches deep.

Don't mix these with bettas or guppies because T. pumila will shred their fins.
