This listing is for 6 young Rhinogobius. The photo shows a male and two female adults; actual fish up for auction are the offspring of the fish shown and will be 3 to 5 cm long.
This is a recent import and I'm not 100% sure about the species description, but it was imported as 'filamentosus' and resembles online photos of that species.
When fully grown these fish will be 10-15 cm long. They're generally quite peaceful and tend to hug the bottom. Males occasionally spar for territory but I have five fish in a 10 gallon tank with some pygmy swordtails and everyone is getting along fine.
Rhinogobius are among the easier goby species to breed in captivity; This particular species lays large eggs that hatch into tiny fully-developed gobies. For more details about care and breeding, consult my article here.
These fish will eat most sinking foods but are unlikely to survive on a flake-only diet. I feed mine sinking bug bites, frozen bloodworms, and frozen brine shrimp.
Shipping is $15 for USPS priority mail. I can combine at least two orders in a single box. The weather looks OK next week but your order may be delayed or refunded if it gets too hot to safely ship.
