You are Bidding on TWO LEOPARD PUFFERS AND FREE SHIPPING These little Puffers are one of the aquariums most interesting and rewarding inhabitants. They remind me of little E.T.'s as they spend their life studying their environment and reacting to it. These are highly intelligent animals that are actively taking in all that they see around them, and therefore become more like pets then cold blooded fishes. I fondly remember a certain puffer at a wholesalers shop in Detroit decades ago. the puffer fish lived in a shallow long aquarium, and acted more like a dog really then a fish. Always vigilant he watched his master with undying enthusiasm. When doted upon the puffer fish became excited and begin swimming gleefully . However like all living things the freshwater puffer fish requires some extra education; such as realizing that it is not a purly freashwater animal at all. instead they are brackish water at least when mature. In the wild they spend their youth in freshwater streams and move closer to salty marshes as they grow. A Specify Gravity Range of: 1.004 - 1.022 should suffice a mature puffer (however please realize that these little guys are very forgiving, and as time goes on you will learn a simple dry measure that renders the desired results.) I have personally kept these for many years in nothing more then kosher salt. Still these days marine salt is inexpensive enough that I would not hesitate in buying and using a commercial products. Also they require live snails in their diet. The Green Spotted Puffer (Tetraodon nigroviridis) is also known as the Spotted Green Puffer or Leopard Puffer by tropical fish keeping enthusiasts. The Green Spotted Puffer is a highly aggressive fish that will attack and kill any other fish or critter in the tank. Including other puffer fish. Many puffer keepers feel they should not be kept with any other fish species, or even other puffers. Basic Water Parameters for Green Spotted Puffer Temperature: 78-82F Weekly water changes to keep water clean Minimum Tank Size: 20 gallons Care Level: Moderate Temperament: Aggressive Aquarium Hardiness: Moderately Hardy Water Conditions: 74-82 F, 9 19 dGH, pH 7.5-8.5 Max. Size: 6.7″ Color Form: Green, Black, Yellow Diet: Carnivore Origin: Africa to Asia Family: Tetraodontidae Lifespan: Up to 15 years in brackish water Aquarist Experience Level: Advanced
