Hello folks! Happy Thursday! This offering is for a couple predatory fish I have in the fish room right now. These are ALL I have left so there will NOT be another offering next week. Win this offering and I will send you 1 5-6 inch true Alligator Gar, Atractosteus spatula along with a Marbled Goby, Oxyeleotris marmorata that is a tad over 4 inches long.. BOTH these fish get LARGE but neither one is really aggressive. They can usually be kept with any of the larger South America Cichlids and I have seen them kept with Arowana's many times too. At this size they are fine with anything they can not swallow. I have been feeding these guys older over the hill Guppies, any Swordtails that end up orange in color born in my fish room and orange fathead minnows when I don't have any culls available and I know they are hungry. The Goby will aggressively eat frozen brine shrimp/bloodworms, Krill, Mysis, night crawlers and other meaty foods like that. Probably the cheapest food you could get both these fish on would be plain old strips of fish or shrimp from your supermarket. Every super market usually has some sort of raw fish on sale and you can just bring a couple fillets home, cut them into strips and freeze them in a zip lock and then use the fish just like you would frozen brine shrimp. I already mentioned that these are NOT aggressive but I outta explain that a little further too. That means if they can't swallow another fish they leave it alone. They also are not territorial so they don't care if other larger fish are in the tank. They are both ambush feeders and the only things they ambush is stuff they think they can swallow. And since they aren't cichlids MOST other cichlids ignore them too. The photo's of the Alligator Gar and the first 3 Marble Goby photo's are NEW and All the rest of the Marble Goby photo's were take a couple years ago and show smaller size Marble Goby's I had at the time. These fish would make an excellent addition to anyone's "Monster Fish" tank and they also come in handy if you breed a lot of fish and you end up with culls you don't know what to do with.
