Description

Hello Folks!
This auction is for a breeding GROUP of 6 Badis assamensis.
What's a breeding group of 6 Badis assamensis?
Well, I have a Male that is breeding along with at least 2 females and 3 more unsexed fish and I am selling them all in this auction!
I have spawned this species a few times and they are a lot of fun to screw around with. All you really need is a Male and Female of breeding age and a cave, in fact I am surprised more folks don't breed these fish but they are pretty hard to find in the first place so that may be one of the causes right there.
One reason I am behind today is I didn't even realize they had spawned today until I fed them and the breeding Male wouldn't let any of the other fish near some of the brine shrimp and bloodworms that were laying on the bottom near his coconut cave. Sure enough when I flipped it over it was loaded with fry. These guard their eggs and fry exactly like dwarf cichlids do but they are a little more secretive. Actually, other than that they may as well BE Apistogramma's as far as breeding goes and their fry are EASY to raise too cuz they born large enough to easily wolf down decapped brine shrimp eggs or my "Lotsoffish mix #2" with no problems at all.
Win this auction and I WILL send you this entire group of fish, the coconut cave the Male likes to spawn in plus a nice big handful of floating plants AND enough "Lotsoffish mix #2" to raise an entire spawn up to about 1/2 inch long.
Also there is still a female that is FAT and FULL of eggs in this group so she WILL be the next in line to breed with this Male.
If that sounds good and you already know how to spawn these fish then stop reading NOW and PLACE a bid otherwise read on-
NOW, here is what I do in order to make sure I end up raising a lot of fry with a fish like this. By the way I took some less than stellar photo's of the procedure just to SHOW you what I am talking about here. I WAIT until the fry hatch but have NOT ventured out of the cave yet and then I simply remove the entire cave and pour the fish into a second container to raise them separately from the rest of the fish. In this case I used a coconut shell and as you can see below the fry stayed right inside it EVER AFTER I flipped it over to take a couple photo's of it. I then just plugged those holes in the shell with my fingers and lifted the entire thing out of the tank and poured them along with the water trapped in the shell into a small 2 1/2 gallon bucket. Then I just wrapped some plant anchors around an airline, dropped the airline into the bucket, added a couple large snails and now I am going to raise those fry in that bucket for a couple weeks until they reach a larger size and then put them back into a larger tank raise them another Month or so and SELL them TOO! I find fry grow a lot quicker and do a lot better for me if I start them out this way rather than keep them in a large tank where it will be more difficult to find the fry. Oh yea, I almost forgot. It's best to just put your cave right back into the tank so your Male will discover the fry have all disappeared because often he will immediately breed with a new female and you will end up with a double batch of fry to raise!
Breeding these fish is pretty cut and dry and the most important thing is to have a cave for them to spawn in and making sure the fish you have are OLD ENOUGH to actually breed in the first place.
Shipping is FREE and I Guarantee LIVE arrival of all HEALTHY Fish!
Give this group a try, they are FUN to breed and they WILL breed for you almost immediately after you receive them!

These photo's are sort of lousy but look closely and you CAN see all the fry on the right and left side of the cave and also in a big group near the bottom of it.

Folks, I don't mess around. I sell nice stuff. I start all these auctions at a dollar and I offer free shipping and an unconditional guarantee. Trust ol' Lotsoffish.

I ship 3 days a week- Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday, I also FEARLESSLY ship into ALL temperatures. I'll get your fish to you alive folks. It's my specialty! I can usually ship the next available shipping day after you cough up the loot, and as always, I don't mess around.
