Description

Hello folks!
This auction is for 8 Adult Etheostoma caeruleum otherwise know as Rainbow Darters.
All the Darters are BY FAR my favorite fish to keep and if I could afford it I would have a whole fish room set up just to strictly keep different species of Darters in. I have been keeping Darters off and on for the past 35 years or so and they are a fish I will never get tired of.
They are NOT just about the blazing color they display either. They are hands down the most intelligent, alert and inquisitive fish I have ever kept and they are very active yet they will also suddenly sit down, turn their heads and just watch you for a minute or two just to see what you are up to when you are around their tank. And YES I am serious. They are one of the ONLY species of fish known to man that actually turn their heads and look around them to see what's going on around them. Seriously. They have "personalities".
They also LOVE Frozen Blood worms and that is what you outta plan on feeding them regularly. They will also eat frozen brine shrimp and most smaller frozen foods along with live black worms AND live white worms.
You do NOT need a heater to keep these fish but they will NOT die at higher temperatures, and they like well aerated water. A power filter or an air stone works fine for that and the more water flow you have the MORE active they will be. They like LOTS OF ROCKS but will NOT hide all the time. They really enjoy swimming in currents and swim more like birds flying through the air than actual fish swimming in water.
Win THIS auction and I will send you 6 Males and 2 Females.
I WILL also send you a nice White worm culture with this auction IF you want it.
I do NOT usually tell folks I have white worms because I can't ship them with my tropical fish. If they get too warm they turn to crap REAL FAST so I don't like to be bothered selling them by themselves BUT I will be shipping these Darters with no heat packs in the box so white worms will travel just fine with them. I breed my white worms in boxes on my basement floor (where it's cool) just like you can see in the photo's below. I feed the WHITE BREAD with the crusts removed and I do splash a few drops of WATER on the bread each time I add it to the cultures. A GOOD RUNNING White worm culture should be fed about 4 FULL slices of bread a week and WILL supply you with enough worms to generously feed about 8-10 tanks daily. YES they ARE a good food to culture IF you have a cooler place to do it.
If you have ANY questions regarding these fish E Mail me. I probably know more about keeping Darters than any other fish I have ever kept. They are one of the only types of fish I have maintained a very high interest in on a constant basis the last 35 years.

Folks, I don't mess around. I sell nice stuff. I start all these auctions at a dollar and I offer free shipping and an unconditional guarantee. Trust ol' Lotsoffish.

I ship 3 days a week- Monday, Tuesday, AND Wednesday, I also FEARLESSLY ship into ALL temperatures. I'll get your fish to you alive folks. It's my specialty! I can usually ship the next available shipping day after you cough up the loot, and as always, I don't mess around.
