Hello Folks! This auction is for some fish that most folks almost NEVER get to see. HEALTHY Ctenopoma ansorgii. These are all NICE sized, healthy fish and the Males like the ones in the photo's below (that is the actual batch of fish I have) are almost 3 inches long. Finding wild caught fish of this size is almost unheard of in the hobby. These fish are slow methodical feeders and you can NOT keep them in a tank with fast moving dither fish or any type of aggressive feeders at all. They will NOT get enough to eat in that type of set up and they will most likely hide too. These need a tank with PLANTS and they are also NOT bubblenest builders like most books and websites claim they are. These breed in PLANTS sort of like Scarlet badis do. I am going to actually send you 8 NICE, large, wild caught Corydoras pygmaeus to put in the tank with these fish. These Cory's also breed in plants and they will be perfect in with the Ctenopoma ansorgii. Believe it or not I currently have these Ctenopoma ansorgii in a tank with some Brook Sticklebacks, Culaea inconstans and that is working out GREAT but you can't have those cuz I am going to run those in a future auction later! I WILL send you some NICE Potamogeton pectinatus and some Star duckweed (I can't remember the Latin name for that crap and I am too tired to go look it up). In fact, I am going to sum this auction up, go turn off my tank lights, and hit the sack. I have a lot of packing to do tomorrow and I hope one of my boxes is going to YOU cuz I have a lot of NEW stuff to include as "free junk" tomorrow!
