Minnesota Snow

Minnesota Aquatics is proud to introduce our new food line with our first offering, Minnesota Snow!

Most breeders and hobbyists are familiar with snow flake food. For those that arent, this is a food that is a small pellet, and, when dropped into a tank, quickly breaks apart to drift along the substrate until it covers a part of itt like a little snow pile. The shrimp are quickly attracted to it and pick it apart in a swarm. Often, they leave the food shortly after, and it remains on the substrate. The beauty of the snow flake food is that when it is left in the tank, it provides a secondary source of food for the shrimp in the way of mycelia. This is the vegetative part of fungus that the snowflake food supports. The shrimp love to eat this, and will pick at it with fervor once it starts to grow on the left over snow flakes.

Mycelium itself provides an important function in the aquarium. It decomposes organic materials, thereby serving as a biological filter, all while providing food for your shrimp in a little snow drift looking bit of wonder.

We highly recommend using Minnesota Snow in your tanks, for adults and juveniles. It will not pollute your water, helps, in fact, to clean the tank, and does not need to be removed.

The best part about our snow flake food is that it is grown and made right here in Minnesota. It is American Made! We can see the fields where our snowflake food is grown, shake the hands of our farmers, and know that simple, natural goodness is going into our product.

We can offer a very competitive price for our snowflake food, and hope that you will give it a try in your tanks!

We are offering our Minnesota Snow at a special Introductory price of 6.50 for 30grams that is much cheaper than the name brand snow flake foods.

We want to thank you for considering our new food. We have tested this in our own breeding tanks, and our shrimp devour this like candy. This is definitely a product I stand behind. Please give it a try. This is the cheapest, freshest snowflake that you can find. It has a shelf life of at least 18 months, so will last quite awhile if you do not need to feed much.

Thank you so much for looking at our auction. We wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas!

This feed comes directly from our local elevator (feed mill). Everything is locally grown. If this were being served to people it would be a "farm to fork" food. I am happy to offer food from overseas. They have wonderful products. I am, however, committedto developing the best invertebrate and fish foods that are possible righthere in theMidwest. Our country is the greatest in the world. We shouldn't have to depend on othercountries for food for our pets. -- Cheryl from Minnesota Aquatics
