This fry food combination has been requested so many times that I decided to make it a standard item. This combination of potent fry foods allows you to raise fry across the spectrum with little to no loss due to starvation or smaller fry being out competed for food or simply having nothing small enough to ingest. Betta breeders in particular have given me great feedback on this item.

These foods are effective for the smallest fry such as Celestial Pearl Danios and Bettas all the way up to larger cichlid and livebearer fry. The APR and Spirulina can even be used to feed baby brine shrimp and daphnia for those attempting to grow out these popular live foods. These foods are also good for snails and inverts of all types as well as smaller to medium size adults of many species.

Here is what you get

APR (Artificial Plankton and Rotifers) - Half Ounce (14g) - is the best first food for fry of all species and eliminates losses due to starving out of small fry in those first few critical days after yolk sac absorption. It is extremely high in critical aminos and fatty acids as well as much needed protein. It has saved numerous spawns of Bettas and extremely small fry such as Celestial Pearl Danios and is always the first food for all of my small fry. Simply an incredible food that is used by professional shrimp farmers to feed larval shrimp, and they do not get any smaller than that. Click HERE for a further description of my APR.

Fine ground spirulina powder - Full Large Ounce (30g) - is among the most nutritious foods on earth and is the fry food equivalent of a mega-multi-vitamin with an astounding 60% protein and aminos, as well as nutrients too numerous to list here but which you can view HERE When fed with APR it provides a one-two punch that dramatically decreases fry mortality and gives your new fry a growth spurt you have likely not experienced before.

Decapsulated brine shrimp eggs - Full Large Ounce (30g) - are non-hatching and are fed as they are without the need for the messy and often uncertain process of hatching and harvesting baby brine shrimp. The shells have been removed, leaving the embryo and full nutritious yolk sac within untouched. Baby brine shrimp begin losing nutritious value as soon as they hatch and start consuming the yolk sac. Here that nutritious gem is intact and ready for your fry to feed on. The decapsulating process sterilizes the eggs so they cannot carry any bacteria into your fry tank AND there are no empty shells to be ingested by your fry to kill them by blocking their digestive system.

'Fry Crack' Fry Starter Diet - Two Ounces - One long-time customer of mine who is a professional breeder refers to this food as "Fry Crack" because of the response that he gets from fry of all species to this remarkable, very fine grain food. This is a private label blend that is manufactured exclusively for one of the best known breeders in the country. It is not sold in stores. This is a perfect first food for medium to large fry, such as livebearers and most cichlids, and an excellent second food for smaller fry growing out of foods such as APR, spirulina, vinegar eels, infusoria, or nematodes such as walter, banana or micro worms. The list of vitamins and amino acids used to enrich this food is too long too present here, but the basics are: Protein 55% - Fat 16.4% - Fiber 1% - Moisture 10% - Ash 10.8%

Breeder's Best Fry Flake - Two Ounces - This small size flake food is always fresh from the mill and has been formulated using fish and krill meat as opposed to meal, a very important difference to note when selecting a staple flake. Many flake foods compensate for a lack of high quality proteins, as available from fish and krill meat by making up the protein requirement using fish and shrimp meals and grain and vegetable protein fillers. The primary protein source in Breeders Best is high quality seafood protein supplemented with spirulina, which provides a wide range of important nutrients along with even more high grade protein. It is also fortified with vitamins and natural beta carotenes to promote natural immunity to disease and enhance color. Protein content is 48% with 10% fat and 3% fiber. After you've gotten your fry 'over the hump' and growing well, this flake will become the daily staple that will help them grow out at a really great pace, developing color and disease resistance along the way. It also provides an ongoing daily staple for adults of many smaller species such as endlers, guppies, cyprinids like celestial pearl danios, smaller tetras and of course bettas and many other anabantoids.
