Description

Hi gals & guys, this are freshwater scuds or gammarus, species name is gammarus pulex sp. Excellent scavenger that will hide in the gravel or substrate of your tanks and devour all fish food leftovers, it is a great live food for most fish species, I feed them to my goodeid livebearers and they love them, some will get away and eventually reproduce in the tanks, I would not recommend planted tanks that do not have any fish that will control their population, because then you will end up with thousands and the little fellas will start eating your plants. I feed my colony with algae wafers and pellets, if well fed and water is well oxygenated they reproduce like crazy. Here I am sending a larger colony starter of 250+ scuds.
