Grindal worms are treated as smaller relatives of whiteworms, but usually only grow to about 10 mm and thus are an ideal size for most small freshwater fishes, both adults and larger fry. they are great for conditioning adult fish for breeding. Many fish breeders use Grindal worms to help encourage their fish to breed in captivity.Grindal worms can be cultured exactly as whiteworms but are a much more adaptable species and have a greater tolerance for warmer temperatures. The preference of relatively warmer temperatures contributes to the prolific nature of Grindal Worms as well. Grindal Worms prefer temperatures in the range of 65 – 85 °F.
