12 Cherry shrimp + 40 Russian Red Daphnia + 24 Scuds + Free Plant. This is the aquatic food culture I keep in my fishroom:
Cost: $29 total. Includes USPS priority shipping, full guarantee, and a free plant. Make immediate payment with Paypal using: ryanthehut@gmail.com
Here is a video of this culture on YouTube: Aquatic Food Culture
Ships in a 2-liter soda bottle. Why? Its a lot more water than a bag with only a couple ounces of water! When they arrive their water will be less toxic, the shrimp less stressed, and will better cope with the transition to your tanks. When transitioning do so in the bottle. Then, gently pour the shrimp into their new tank. If there are plants in the bottle pick them out beforehand.
FREE ITEM: While being shipped the shrimp need something to cling onto - I add the plant pearlweed. If requested I can substitute something different(narrow leaf anacharis/watersprite/hornwort).
GUARANTEE:
If DOA, provide a picture, and a one time replacement will be sent at zero cost to you. Please don't create a return as that adds additional steps for us both - just send a picture and we will send a replacement.
SET-UP:
Standard setup: water, gravel, sponge filter, and a light. Surfaces for the shrimp to cling onto, such as plants, driftwood, rocks, etc. The more surface area the larger your shrimp colony will be.
Temperature:
65 to 75 is ideal.
Water:
My parameters are middle of the road in regards to softness/hardness & pH. The only additives used are plant fertilizers.
Food:
Adding a piece of fruit/vegetable each day will feed this entire culture. Feed soft/softened produce(broccoli, cucumber, calliflower, melon, etc) and fish foods.
