AUCTION:

Enchytraeus albidus, shipped in a small USPS box, filled with medium straight from my cultures. This makes a shoebox size culture that is harvestable immediately. There will be several hundred worms and egg sacs.

This is a robust strain I've kept continuously for over a decade without any problem. Daphnia are considered highly productive, but what isn't as commonly known, are white worms are nearly identical to dpahnia in fertility. I've cultured it all - and nothing has been as productive as my white worms.

I do not culture using sterile techniques.

GUARANTEE:

If DOA I will send a replacement at no cost.

The time a package is vulnerable is when your mail carrier has it. If the package is exposed to the elements it's likely to perish. It's critical the box not be left in your mailbox, so have somebody home that is prepared to greet your mail carrier.

MISC:

There is a lot of old information suggesting white worms be kept at chilly temperatures. However, over the decades, this species has been discovered at a variety of locations around the globe, and many strains have been in the hobby for decades. Not all white worm strains are the same. My outside temperatures go over 100 degrees, with culture temperatures reaching the mid 80's - and I've never had an issue. I find it easier to keep white worms than grindal worms. I can culture white worms in my garage year round effortlessly, but can't do the same with grindal worms unless I warm them.

A cool place in your home, in the garage near the concrete garage floor for me, is all that is needed to culture this strain. If you don't have that cool location a fan or frozen water bottle during the hottest days will suffice.
