Description

FYI: Indoor Russian red daphnia are currently unavailable, but have the outdoor available. I expect them to be available 9-24-2018.

Select two items. Auction cost is $18 + $8 shipping = $26. Make payment with Paypal at ryanthehut@gmail.com. Please don't request an invoice unless vital to you. I ship USPS priority mail. If you pay prior to Monday morning your culture is almost certain to ship that Monday or Tuesday.

These are 1 liter cultures. You select two. With this auction you can add an aquarium themed t-shirt, shown in the auction picture, for only $10/short sleeve or $13/long sleeve. Tell me which cultures you are interested, and whether indoor or outdoor strains, in your Paypal payment notes.

T-SHIRT
Add one aquarium themed t-shirt for only $10(short sleeve) or $13(long sleeve) additional. The two shirt designs available are shown in the picture. The shirt is a medium weight Fruit of the Loom, and available in safety orange or safety green. Sizes are small, medium, large, and x-large. When I wear mine out every aquarist nearby sparks up a conversation with me.

WHITE WORMS:
I've maintained this strain for well over a decade. They are tolerant of warmer than usual temperatures. The only 'cooling' I provide is moving them near my concrete floor during the hottest months. My cultures attain 85 degrees in the summer and I harvest year round. This is taken directly from established culture and will contain around 100 worms plus eggs. They are not cultured in sterile conditions and may contain cohabitants common to worm culturing.

SCUDS, Indoor:
Cultured in an aquarium in my unheated garage but kept above 68 degrees. Fed fish food, fruits, vegetables, and crushed snails. For an aquatic culture I most recommend scuds - my cultures are always reliable and I always have a lot of scuds to harvest. You receive 50 scuds.

MOINA / DAPHNIA PULEX / RUSSIAN RED DAPHNIA
You select from either my indoor or outdoor cultures. My outdoor cultures are kept in 20 gallon tubs. Indoors they are cultured in aquariums, under fluorescent night, and unheated year round. I feed my cultures boiled aquarium mulm, green water, banana peel, cucumber, and melon. Prior to shipping I add food to your new culture, so it will thrive in the bottle for a week or two after you receive it.

MOINA
For feeding fry to small fish. They are easy to culture and super prolific. Moina cultures are very easy to culture and produce enormous harvests.

DAPHNIA PULEX
For feeding fish up to medium size. Over the years I've tested many strains against this one - with this being the best of the best. This is the best stain of daphnia I have ever kept. People go crazy about Russian red daphnia, but if you want outright productivity, pulex are much easier and productive. It is equally productive indoor or outdoor. You receive 150 outdoor or 100 indoor.

RUSSIAN RED
These are very large bodied and feed up to large fish. You receive 100#outdoor or 75# indoor.

GUARANTEE I will replace a DOA package at no cost to you. If a package from me shows up dead, simply message me, and I will put another in the mail. The time a package is vulnerable is when your mail carrier is bringing it to your home. If the package is left in the elements it's likely to perish. Please have somebody home that is prepared to meet the mail carrier at your mailbox.
