Description

Hosted by Use.com
Please read this auction very carefully. In this auction will be the following:

One Culture of Microfex Worms (about 100 + worms)

You will be getting a small clump of worms that are each short and thinner than an eyelash. They are reddish in color.

I will only ship in the USA. This excludes Alaska and Hawaii and all off-shore United States territories and possessions, which are American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Shipping will be $7.10USPS Priority Mail. I normally ship my orders in a flat rate padded envelope.

You must request that your package be held at the post office for me to guarantee live delivery if the weather in your area is below
55or above 85. I ship on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and sometimes Thursdays depending on how far the package may need to travel. Please let me know if you may need additional orders of Microfex worms or special request. Any DOA's must be reported within 1 hour of delivery. I cannot be held responsible for packages that are left in your mailbox or on your doorstep. Please make sure that someone will be home to receive your package immediately after it arrives. In the event of a DOA, buyer must cover shipping expense for me to resend if he/she does not elect to have package held at the post office. The worms are alive and well when I drop them off at the post office. There are times when live worms don't survive the trip especially in extreme temperatures or if the package is mishandled by the postal service or left in the mail box for an extended period of time.I understand and I am willing to work with the buyer. Please send me a photo of your worms immediately after receiving your package. Shipping is not free for me if I must resend your order and for this reason, shipping must be covered by the buyer at all times from now on.

You can raise your Microfex Worms in a small container, a large soda bottle or fishtank. The water in your tank should be aged aquarium water. I feed them fish food but I learned that they love a little bit of fish waste (poop) better. My husband is a pleco fish breeder and his fish creates a lot of waste. Some time ago, I noticed high volumes of Microfex Worms in his fish tanks. The neat thing about keeping plecos is that they are not aggressive towards Microfex worms and will ignore them unlike most fish who will make a tasty treat outof them. Microfex worms also love to eat the jelly part of snail egg masses from snails like ramshorns and pond snails.
Add a small amount of (boiled and cooled) Kale to your tanks to help feed your Microfex worms, aquarium inhabitants happy and also Kale will help keep the aquarium cleaner.

I have also obsevedthat in large numbers, Microfex worms will smother and consume a small number of snails and for this reason I only keep feeder snails with my Microfex worms. It's not uncommon to see large clumps of Microfex worms attached to an empty snail shell. Microfex worms do not lay eggs or give birth to their young. The wormswill mature and then separate into two individual worms and then repeat the cycle. When theybecome old, the younger ones will comsume the ones that have passed onand thecycle will repeat itself.

Microfex Worms can be kept with daphnia, snails, plecos, scuds and freshwater shrimp. If you are going to use a filter for your aquarium, I recommend using a sponge filter. They love to hide in gravel and floating plants. They will also group up together and form a tight clump or ball. Fish will make a tasty meal of them.

If you are interested in adding plecos, snails and/or scuds to your order, I can give you a quote and add them to your invoice. I encourage you to check with me to see what else I may have. I don'talways list everything. I also take request for large quantity orders if I have them. For those who live further away, I can upgrade your shipping to Priority Mail Express if you are willing to cover the shipping fees. I accept PayPal only. I will send you an invoice. Please be sure that your PayPal mailing address is correct and as a reminder that someone will be home to receive your package on the day that it arrives or able to pick-up your package at the post office if you request that your package be held.

If you have zero feedback, Please contact me directly before bidding on this auction.

If you have any questions or concerns in regards to your shipment, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I have a few negative ratings but if you look closer these are from sellers who have a reputation for doing their customers wrongly. These sellers were paid on time by me but either took 2 weeks to ship garbage to me and or/ over charged triple the cost for shipping. I was given a bad rating out of retaliation after speaking up.For me, customer service is my main priority. All of my customers that I have served in the past were happy with the outcome and I think that you will be satisfied too if I'm given the chance.
