Description

The cost of this auction is $17(auction) +$8(shipping) = $25

You chose two cultures. Chose between white worms, scuds, moina, or daphnia. No double white worms because they need to have a bottle to keep their bag from being crushed. There is a separate auction for a white worms only.

Tell me which cultures you want in the notes of your Paypal payment.

If anything is DOA I will replace at no cost to you.

I offer this in a small & medium priority package. This is the small.

White Worms
The medium is taken directly from a culture. It will contain 100+ adults and eggs sacs.

Scuds
20

Moina
50 from indoor strain.

Daphnia
50 from indoor strain.

Miscelaneous

You can find articles, videos, and photo albums, on my Facebook page, White Worm Man.

Here are additional important details:

White Worms
There is a lot of outdated information suggesting this worm only be kept at low temperatures. Since discovered, this worm has been found in many places around the world, and some of these strains have been in the hobby for decades. This is a 'warmer' temperature strain. My culture temperatures reach over 80 degrees during the summer. I have kept this strain of worm for over a decade; never with one issue.

I ship the culture dryer than normal so water doesn't leak out when being shipped. When you receive it, gently place the medium in its container, and add water.

The picture shows two bottles, but these worms are packaged in a bag.

Scuds
Scuds are my favorite indoor aquatic culture. They aren't as productive as daphnia but always reliable. Daphnia cultures can be finicky, occasionally crash, but a scud culture always has something to harvest.

During winter I keep a minimum temperature of 65 degrees.

Daphnia & Moina
These are from indoor culture with florescent lighting. The cultures aren't heated and float around 50 degrees in the winter. I feed them with banana peels, and an occasional piece of fruit, vegetable, and melon.

50 daphnia may not sound like many but is enough to start several 50 gallon cultures. Most auctions offering hundreds/thousands of daphnia are from outdoor cultures; these are from an indoor aquarium. 50 daphnia gives as much opportunity to start a culture than 500. The benefit to this auction is you aren't transitioning outdoor daphnia to an indoor environment.

There are 100's of freshwater daphnia species and few people know what species they have. They are usually referred to as moina/pulex/magn, to indicate their size. These are medium size daphnia, which are easier to keep indoors. The feed fish up to the size of angelfish.
