Description

You will receive a 1oz starter culture of Microworms (micro worms). Panagrellus redivivus makes a great live first or second food for fry that is easy to keep and just as good as baby brine. A single 1oz culture can supply enough Microworms to make many cultures and feed your fry for years. I use instant mashed potatoes for my cultures as they don't smell quite as bad as the oats.

Items needed to make a culture:

Container with vent

Instant potatoes

Dry active yeast

Culture of Microworms


Mix potatoes in dechlorinated water, so they look like creamy mashed potatoes, spread on the bottom of your container. Add culture and spread over potatoes then sprinkle with yeast. Your culture will take a couple days to grow. When the top has a sheen you can start using it. The worms will start to climb the sides of the container. Simply wipe them off the sides and feed to your fry.
