Description

Up for auction: White Worms in a deli container, 8 oz type. This should be plenty of worms to begin a culture, or even begin to lightly feed. The photo below was taken from one of my White Worm cultures. I will ship to the Continental United States only, and will charge an additional $7 which includes the cost of USPS Priority shipping. Remember that USPS Priority automatically includes tracking. You may feel free to handle delivery in any way you choose. However, my recommendation is that you have the worms held at the post office for your pickup unless you anticipate temperatures above 40 Fahrenheit or so. White Worms are reasonably tolerant of cool temperatures, but please dont plan on them surviving being frozen solid. I would be glad to mark the box Hold At Post Office at your request, or of course feel free to have it delivered to your mailbox if you feel that temperatures on your end are high enough. Payment by PayPal only, sent to: fish4view@hotmail.com . I will ship the worms after receiving payment. If you have not cultured White Worms before, please look over one of the good references online as to how to raise them. I have read references to using various culture media, but I personally use peat, to which I add some lime to raise the pH. To me, this mixture seems extremely easy, reasonably cheap, and fairly free of pests (which one might find if using compost, for example.) I mix approximately 1 part lime to 40 parts peatbut I dont worry about measuring exactly, and the worms seem to do quite well. I personally feed worms mostly with dry cat food, with occasional bread added as well; however, again the worms do not seem very picky, so feel free to read online and experiment with what you have available.
