Auction
Shipping included in auction. With this auction you get established culture, food, and new medium for numerous future cultures. I culture white worms and springtails togetherhave for years without any issue.
1. One deli container of established white worm & springtail culture.
2. The remainder of the medium-sized USPS box filled with the best medium I use. This is enough medium to make numerous cultures.
3. Food.

White worms are a must for the serious hobbyist. They are very high in fat making them excellent for conditioning and breeding. Springtails are also very nutritious and extremely prolific.

Live delivery is guaranteed only if someone is home and receives the package. You will be notified of the ship date, and the package typically shows up two to three days later. Ill replace a DOA one time.

Culturing
Container: Sandwich and shoe-box containers work great.

Medium: Most potting soils, WalMart worm bedding, coco fiber, or peat moss. Keep moist but not wet.

Food: Rice, beans, breads, cereals, baby food, oatmeal, fish food, baked potato, leftovers, etc.

Temp: A lot of literature says to keep white worms under 65 degrees or the worms stop reproducing. Understand, it doesnt always need to stay under 65degrees. In the summer my cultures go above that temperature but at night the temperature falls and the worms reproduce. Simply keeping this culture in a cool place in your house is sufficient in most states. In really hot states adding a frozen water bottle during the hottest days will suffice in keeping the temperature down.

Springtails:
They are tiny, about the size of a gnat, but even my angelfish eat them. They float and will live on the surface for weeks. To harvest scoop out the sections of soil they are heavy in, and drop into a cup of water causing the springtails to float.

White worms:
White worms are high in fat content which makes them perfect for conditioning and breeding.
