HTML Generator Sample Page Hi I hope you guys are well. So I am finally offering a culture of hyalella azteca again. There will be for a little more than 150 scuds which I think is the perfect size starting culture. A little more than a starter to get you culturing quick. One of the smallest scud species. They are just amazing for fishes like, bettas, apistogrammas, rainbowfishes and especially killifish. My apistos always breed after a good feeding of these mini scuds.
Extremely hardy so you can culture them with the least of efforts. To care for them is so easy. Any size container at room temperature is fine. Personally I keep them in 1 gal jars and a 5 gal tank and the size of the container doesn't seem to matter. To me they are so hardy I just use tap water. Just pour in some aquarium water from your water change and your basically done. My water is very soft and I had no problems. They thrive in almost any water conditions, soft or hard.Azteca are mainly plant eaters and will eat moss, duckweed, leaves, and I just use algae wafers. They aren't picky so you can use just about any fish food. Also one bonus benifit to these scuds is that they eat almost any kind of algae. So I toss in clumps of string algea or dirty equipment and in a day its all gone. These scuds have been able to live and reproduce at extreme conditions. Optimum conditions are neutral water at room temperature. These guys have survived high ammonia, temperature of 35F to 92F and are virtually fool proof.Shipping is on me and for DOA's, please provide pictures within 3 hours of delivery. Just pay for the shipping cost and I will reship you a culture. They will be shipped with a bit of filter floss to cling to and some duck weed to eat, or some other kind of floating plant depending on if they eat all my duck weed this weekend. Thanks for looking and have a great one!
