Description

Here is an offer for 250 grams of live (size approx. 10 - 15 mm) Glassworms dewatered on a newspaper. The water has been removed to make a net weight of the worms for cheaper postage. You have selected one of the best tropical fish foods available. You will find that your fish will be healthier and maintain their true colours. It's a perfect food for conditioning and breeding your fish. These worms are laboratory produced, certified free of parasites.

A Glassworm is a type of midge larva called Chaoborus. Glassworms are almost entirely transparent, except for pairs of black kidney-shaped structures in the front and the back of the body. These dots are the air sacs. They use these air sacs to migrate up and down in lakes. Glassworms breathe through the end of their abdomen and have two small eyes at the front of their bodies.

Glassworms are very easy to store if the water is kept cold and aerated. They are very tolerant to bad water conditions, including chlorine.

Upon the arrival of your Glassworms place them in a 15 20 litres container filled with cool fresh water. Do not cover their container they need to be able to breath.

Keep your Glassworms outside (as I do) or in the refrigerator. Better if you keep them between 8C - 15C. Do not keep them in an aquarium. To keep your worms fresh their water should be changed once a day. Use only chemical free pre-chilled water when changing. Do not use aquarium water, or room temperature water.

You do not have to feed your Glassworms. Weekly orders are suggested to insure freshness. Uneaten worms will not foul your aquarium, but do feed according to your fish and aquarium size.

Collection is welcome though I send live foods by express delivery with great care. Please note that all live foods are sent out on Fridays as this is when they come into me fresh from the supplier. All orders placed before Monday will be shipped the following Friday to make sure you get fresh live food. All prices are listed in British Pounds (GBP).

I can post by Royal Mail First Class for 2.50 GBP without guarantee that the package will be delivered next day on Saturday, or I can post by Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day with Guaranteed Saturday Delivery for 12.00 GBP. Please advise which posting method you prefer when placing an order. I can also ship to European customers, please ask for postal rates before ordering.

I can accommodate most circumstances of combining postage to cover costs if you order more items from me. If there are any questions you have then please get in touch before you make the purchase. Thanks for looking and enjoy your hobby!
