Vinegar Eel, Walterworm, Daphnia culture

 

       This auction is for three starter cultures:

Vinegar eels

Waterworms

Daphnia

 

Vinegar eels are the smallest of the three foods, can survive for days suspended in the water column, and thus are a great first food for fry of many species of egglaying fish.

 

Walterworms are somewhat larger than vinegar eels, and are better balanced nutritionally. Many fry, as well as small adult fish, such as danios, guppies, and white clouds love them!

 

Daphnia are a favorite live food of many fish. This strain is large enough to interest species such as angelfish and goldfish, yet the newly born nauplii are good for very small fish and juveniles. Unlike some others, this strain of Daphnia is extremely hardy. I used freshly dechlorinated tap water for 50% water changes and it doesn’t hurt them a bit!
