Description

If youre interested in discussions on live foods and/or killifish join Facebook Group: Killifish USA

This is a culture everybody should have. These two worms are easy to care for and live harmoniously with each other. White worms are great for conditioning and breeding any sized fish, and red worms are great for feeding medium to large sized fish.

Auction

1) 24 ounce container of already established culture containing both white and red worms.
2) New medium filling the rest of the USPS medium Priority box for future cultures.

These two critters can easily be split into two by simply picking out the red worms as you see them and putting them into their own container.

Guarantee
This is one of the best, if not the best, guarantees on Aquabid. There are two aspects to the guarantee. One covers a box showing up DOA, and the other is if your culture fails within the first month.

1) If a box shows up DOA I replace and I pay shipping($0 cost to you) one time. To be clear, if box shows up DOA simply let me know and I put a new one in the mail at no cost to you once.

2) If you are unsuccessful at starting the culture, within one month, I will replace it if you pay shipping($6). To be clear, if you kill off your culture any time in the first month Id be glad to replace it if you pay $6.

Payment and Shipping

Shipping included in auction price. Shipped USPS Priority in a medium box.

Culturing

Container:
Shoe-box type container or larger.

Medium:
Most potting soils, coco fiber, or peat moss. Being Im sending you the mix I use this gives you plenty of time to find a medium you will use in the long term.

Food:
Feed them both breads, cereals, oatmeal, fish food, baked potato, rice, leftovers, etc. Keep the food moist as white worms like their food mushy. Redworms will eat about anything. I typically feed this culture leftovers from dinner.

Temp:
White worms like to be kept under 65 degrees. Warmer temps wont kill the white worm but they stop egg laying. Keeping them in a cold part of the house is usually cool enough. 60 to 65 degrees is perfect. You can also influence how much you harvest by adjusting the tempon the higher side you get productive redwormson the lower side you harvest more white worms.

Harvesting:
White worms gather in a mass around their food so they are easily scooped up with a fork. Red worms are usually in a mass under their food and can be picked out by hand. Even if you are feeding smaller sized fish you can easily pick out tiny young worms, or put a large worm in the freezer for a few minutes and cut into pieces with a scissors.
