Description

Microworm starter culture

Grindal Worm-full culture

This is a COMPLETE, producing culture, with all you need:

à Ventilated culture container-  2.9 cup capacity

àCoconut fiber substrate

àA plastic sheet for feeding/collecting worms

àHundreds to thousands of thriving grindal worms, already breeding

àA starter food supply, enough to last at least two weeks

This is not a starter culture…it has been seeded with hundreds to thousands of worms, and includes everything you need for a successful culture…just feed them and water them (if needed) and they should be ready to start harvesting within about 24 hours. (Worms often retreat into the substrate when shipped, but they quickly come to the surface and congregate around food when it is offered.)

Grindal Worms make a great food for older fry and small to medium-sized adult fish. These relatives of the earthworm and the whiteworm stay smaller and can survive warmer temperatures than the whiteworm. They reproduce quickly under favorable conditions.  Unlike Micros or Walters, They DO NOT require sub-culturing every couple of weeks. They are supposedly fatty, so they should not be used as the sole food, but they are a great way to condition adults for breeding, to stimulate growth in fry, or as a treat. Your fish will love them!.

The container is the picture is slightly different from the one you will receive. The store I used to get the at apparently no longer carries them. The worms are the same.

FULL, detailed culturing instructions available at http://aquarimax.com/shop/grindal-worms-2/grindal-worms/ .
