Got some new fry on the way? Not sure what to feed them? Here is the perfect bundled kit that solves the problem of the foods you need to properly feed and raise healthy fry.

Most newborn fry need the stimulus of a live, moving and nutritious food source to get them started on the right track. Freshly hatched brine shrimp are usually recommended as the food of choice by most breeders. Usually three small meals a day of live brine shrimp are recomended. Only feed the fry what they can consume within two minutes. Clean any excess brine shrimp from the tank by siphoning or water changes. Fry are suseptable to bacterial infections at an early age, so keeping their tank clean is a must. A little effort is required to provide your fry with freshly hatched brine shrimp, but if you follow the guidelines in the link below your new fry should have plenty of brine shrimp for their daily needs:

LINK: Brine Shrimp Hatching Guidelines

After about two weeks of feeding the live brine shrimp you can start to wean your fry over to the non-hatching decap brine shrimp. Start by still feeding the fry live brine shrimp in the beginning of the day and then switch to a meal later in the day consisting of only of the dry decap brine shrimp. After a few days of getting both live and dry brine shrimp your fry should readily accept the decap shrimp and you can stop hatching live brine shrimp and just feed them the decaps. The decaps are actually more nutritious than live brine shrimp since the decap shrimp's egg yolk/sac is fully intact and has not been partially consumed, as it would be in a live brine shrimp. These eggs are easier to portion to each tank with the included free dispensing scoop. The decap eggs require no special preparation before feeding. Just measure and add the dry decap brine shrimp eggs to each tank. A little bit of decap eggs go a long way so only feed your fry what they will consume in 2 minutes. Three small feedings a day is much more benificial than one large feeding.

After about a month your fry should be ready to try other foods. Remember that a variety of food sources is the key to healthy, colorful and happy fish. Flake food is a good first choice because it can be crumbled into a powder or small bites that are readily accepted by young fish. Use the same method as above for weaning the fish off the decap brine shrimp eggs until they readily accept foods that your adult fish enjoy. The decap brine shrimp eggs will always be a favorite of your fish, even when they reach adulthood, so it's a good idea to always have a supply on hand.

These Brine Shrimp Eggs are a proud product of the USA, and not from questionable and unregulated Asian sources.
