Hatching Conditions

PLEASE KEEP THIS PACKAGE IN TIGHTLY SEAL & COOL ENVIRONMENT

(Refrigeration is the best place to store this package)

The following are some of the parameters that are important in the hatching of Artemia

1. pH: At least 7.0, above 8.0 is better.
2. Illumination: Maintaining a light source ( Fluorescent is recommended) during the entire incubation period is recommended to obtain optimum hatch results.
3. Temperature: Optimum water temperature for a 24 hour complete hatch is 80-82�XF or 26-28�XC.
4. Aeration: Strong aeration is recommended and should not damage or hurt the brine shrimp cysts or nauplii.
5. Salinity: 20 - 25 grams salt per liter water or approximately 1 and 1/3 tablespoons of salt per quart of water. (1.017~1.019 specific gravity).
6. Density of eggs should not exceed 2 grams / per liter.
7. Incubation Period : 24 hours ~ 30 hours.  ( 28�XC for 24 hours, 20�XC for 30 hours)
8. Hatching Cone: Cone or "V" bottomed containers are best to insure that the cysts remain in suspension during hatching.
